  6. To me, any read of mine is a beach read! I've found that I don't have specific kind of reads for specific places! I just read whatever's in my TBR Mountain! Which is basically all kind of paranormal!! And some dystopian and fantasy too! ;)

  11. I like light mysteries like The Husband's Secret or The Sound of Glass for beach reads - and paperbacks of course. Hardback is too heavy and Ereaders are in danger around water and/or difficult to read (I have a backlit version).

  20. I like all genres and read them all at any time or place. A beach read reminds me of Wendy Wax's Ten Beach Road. The cover is so soothing and screams to you to go to the beach.

  21. my favorite beach reads tend to be romances. i like something light, that i can put down without worrying about where i was since getting interrupted at the beach is pretty common.

  29. A light read for beach reads, because there's the chances of interruptions and I want to be able to pry away from the read if needed be instead of being in a tug of war between the read and whatever came to interrupt my reading time. =D

  47. I don't know what a beach read is, to be honest. I've never read "on a beach" I tend to like books that draw me in, and make me want to come back and read more. My favorite book this year has been Finders Keepers by Stephen King, but I don't know that it would be a beach read lol
