  1. OOh nice review! I've heard mixed things about this one! Kinda of a love it or hate it scenario and I was really excited for this one too! Luckily, I've read enough good reviews that I've added it to my TBR Mountain of Doom and look forward to reading it! Glad to hear it was enjoyable, if a little too slow. Great review, again!

  2. You're not the first person I hear who thought this book was really slow paced. I usually don't mind slow pacing in books as long as the story manages to keep me interested, but I don't think I'll be picking this one up. As much as I love retellings it's difficult to find a good one.

  3. I thought this one sounded amazing too, but slow paced and little action? I'm not sure if it's for me. At least there's court intrigue, I do enjoy that, but I need more than just that. Thanks for the cliffhanger warning.

  5. I read this one a couple of months ago, and I had some issues with it myself. The biggest issue was absolutely the slow pacing, as you said. The love square didn't bother me too badly, because I don't feel like too much of the story was focused on it, and I think that the prince at least might just be a friend. Aurora was a good character, but I was so glad when she finally grew a backbone. It made me like her, instead of just thinking she was a good MC. The ending was great! It gives me great hope that the sequel will be a much faster paced, adventurous story!
