  2. It was Shadow Fire by Kimber Leigh Wheaton. I wouldn't say it's the worst but it was one that I struggled to finish and didn't really care about the characters.

  3. The worst book I've read this year was Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't think this really needs an explanation - my co-blogger dared me to read them because she liked them, and there we go.

  4. Iced by Moning... The previous were better.

    ReplyDelete
  5. A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. In no way is rape romantic, no matter how you spin it.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Probably Between the Devil and the Deep blue sea.

  7. To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris Yecch!

  8. Thanks for the giveaway! The worst would be Captivate by Carrie Jones.

  9. Wounded Courage by SM Butler

    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  10. The worst book I've read this year was definitely The Book of Mormon. Finally got around to it and no thanks to that!

  11. I've been very fortunate and haven't read any really bad book this year.. I"m picky about my book selections so it works out for me :)

  12. I have not read a bad book this year - which is a miracle! But the worst book I've read, I wish I could unread was American Psycho =s

Thanks so much for the giveaway and the chance to win...

  13. Ruin by Lucian Bane...It had many errors as well as a storyline that was confusing to follow. Not sure how it got so many 5 stars!

    ReplyDelete
  14. If you mean books I've finished... maybe Blackbird or The Midnight Thief. I've had a lot of DNFs, though.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have had mostly DNF, and to be honest I don't remember the names of them. One is Alexia Purdy Reign of Blood. It was horrible! There was so much WRONG with that book, there was no way I was finishing it.

  16. Good news is I haven't read a bad book this year :) or maybe I forget about it. >_<

  17. Thats a hard one. All the books I have read this year I liked.

  18. Nowhere, AZ. by Chris Nunly. Thanks for having the giveaway.

  19. I try really hard to pick books I know I'll really like to read. So choosing a book that i hated was not possible. However I did finish a series that I was extremely happy to have finished because I didn't enjoy the series too much. I only enjoyed maybe the first two books in the Blue Blood series by Melissa de la Cruz after that I just kind of got over the series but continued to finish it because I'm weird like that.

  20. I HEART MY LITTLE A-HOLES by Karen Alpert was like verbal vomit on each page.

  21. I have not read any this year!!! I love most genres and usually am lucky at not picking a bad one. I believe there have been maybe 4 or 5 in my life that I could not finish.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Eyes of the Woods by Eden Fierce. It wasn't bad, but it was the worse I've read this year.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Probably The Hundred by Kass Morgan. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'd have to say Finnikin of the Rock. I read it to see what all the hype was about, and I still don't see why it has such high ratings. There were so examples of blatant sexism, not to mention a totally unnecessary attempted rape scene--and apparently the next book in the series focuses on the almost-rapist.

  25. The worst book, not necessarily very bad, was Addicted by Tracy Wolff. It was just not what I expected. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  26. Mine is Death in a summer colony

    Rafflecopter name is bex smith

    ReplyDelete
  27. The worst book I've read this year would be Looking After Joey.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's a tie between Sons and Lovers and The Power and the Glory.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I've been very lucky and haven't read any really bad book so far this year.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It would have to be Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi, for complicated reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  31. No bad books this year. I'm very careful about picking a book to start with.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cracked by Eliza Crewe. It wasn't for me....

    ReplyDelete
  33. Fifty Shades of Gray...I didn't like it.

  34. Oh wow, excellent question! I'm unfortunate to have gone through multiple terrible self-published books from the Kindle store :(

    ReplyDelete
  35. I haven't read many books and I liked them all so I don't have a book in mind right now.

  36. +JMJ+

The worst-written book I read this year was Butterfly People by Robin Lim. It was a novelisation of her family's memories and experiences over four generations, and it could have been a great historical epic . . . but it mostly read like a bitter, racist old woman's screed. =/

  37. Holy cow, I have not read a bad book in a long time! Everything I have had come my way has been pretty darn good~

    ReplyDelete
  38. I did not like The Amulet of Samarkand at all, the main character was so irritating in the book although I did enjoy the magic system and Bartimaeus. Thank you for the giveaway, enjoy your day. :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I cannot say because I got rid of it! I get free books from my mom occassionally, she picks them up at the senior center, I believe it was a romance novel though.

  40. I have been lucky enough not to have read any bad books this year - that I can remember anyway! Some may not catch my attention right away but I'll usually put those aside, read something else and then go back to them and that works fine! Thanks for this amazing giveaway - I would love to win!

  41. It was probably Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maguire.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I thought Search Me by Erin Petcher was pretty bad. The story was okay but the writing and erratic pacing of the narration made me want to throw the book across the room.

    ReplyDelete
  43. It's incredibly rare of me to read a bad book. I think the 4th book in the Parasol Protectorate fell a little below my expectations, but it was still a great book.

    ReplyDelete
  44. gone girl, i dont like the way that the story was told!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I've learned over the years to stop reading if I have a book I don't like. I used to feel that I had to finish, but I'm over that. So, no bad books this year.
    Thanks for the contest.

  46. Well I have to say that I finally decided to read 50 Shades of Grey and I didnt get very far. I wasnt the subject matter that I didnt like , although it isnt really my thing, but it was the writing. So while I am not saying it is a bad book it was at the bottom of the pile for what I read this year

    ReplyDelete
  47. Maybe A Whispered Darkness by Vanessa Barger...I had to DNF it was just getting ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Barefoot In Baghdad by Manal M. Omar. It just didn't live up to my expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Philastine by Steven Shrewsbury. I like his books usually but Philastine read and then just gave up. Hard to get into and the Fantasy language hard to grasp.

Hard to get into the Fantasy world because of it. Gave up but want to return to it and still finish it. Maybe when have more time in November with Thanksgiving break.

  50. It's a toss up between Bad Taste In Boys and Forever Fae

    ReplyDelete
  51. The worst book this year for me was Trail by Fire by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I haven't read too many books this year and all of the ones I've read this year I have enjoyed. And for the most part I have liked every book I have ever read and I've read a lot. The worst book I have ever read would be Gone by Lisa Mcmann, I don't really remember why I hated it so much but I did. I enjoyed the first book in the series and the second one was ok but the last one was just horrible. Anyways thank you for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I attempted to read Euphoria-Z but it was too horrible to even finish (and I rarely dnf a book).

  54. Haha. A last book in a series. Took me a while to get a copy only to get disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Happy to report that I haven't encountered one. But then, I haven't read as many books this year.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Interesting question. If a book is bad, I stop reading it...and there are a couple that I stopped reading this year. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  57. (Alisha Sienkiel in rafflecopter)

Earthseed by Pamela Sargent. It wasn't terrible but I never got into it and it was a DNF for me.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Friends with Partial Benefits by Luke Young.
