Flawed by J.L. Spelbring Blog Tour: Interview + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop in the FLAWED by Blog Tour hosted by Rockstar Book Tours. Today on my stop we have a Interview with J.L. Spelbring + an awesome Tour-Wide Giveaway!

In a world where Hitler won the The War, and perfection is constantly sought, Ellyssa has broken free from her austere life and has found another meaning for her existence.

Family, friendship, and love.

But her happiness is short lived. Ellyssa finds herself on the run, again. Her father's work didn't die with him, but lives on in her siblings, Aalexis and Xaver, and they are determined to complete his unfinished dream.

ALICIA: Hi J.L., I'm so excited to have you stop by today for an interview! :)

J. L. SPELBRING: Thank you so much for having me. Please excuse me one second while I grab a cupcake and a diet coke.

ALICIA: 1. Can you tell us a little bit about FLAWED, for readers who might be unfamiliar with it?

J. L. SPELBRING: FLAWED is a continuation of Ellyssa’s story as she learns to control her anger, her hate, while learning the meaning of friendship and loving, and the sacrifices family and friends make for each other.

ALICIA: 2. Can you tell us a little bit about our main character Ellyssa?
J. L. SPELBRING: Ellyssa was brought up in an environment where emotions, except anger and hate, were not allowed. Yet, she learns to love, to care, to share. She becomes more than what she was created to be.

ALICIA: 3. How was the idea for this series created?
J. L. SPELBRING: It all started with my desire to write a story about a person who could read minds.

ALICIA: 4. What would you say was the most challenging aspect of writing FLAWED and why?
J. L. SPELBRING: FLAWED was a lot easier for me to write. I really loved the development of Ellyssa and her siblings, and the story seemed to write itself.

ALICIA: 5. What was your most memorable moment of writing this series and why?
J. L. SPELBRING: The surprise developments of the characters, their thinking and the way they reacted to certain events.

ALICIA: 6. Can you tell us 5 random things about you?

I like to run.

I prefer vanilla over chocolate.

I love peanut butter cookies with chopped up Reese’s in them. Yummy!!

I don’t like coffee, but I wished I did.

I’m getting married May 16, 2015. YAY!

ALICIA: 7. In ten words, can you describe FLAWED?
J. L. SPELBRING: Ellyssa’s father’s work didn’t die with him but lives on.

ALICIA: J.L. it was a blast having you here today for the FLAWED Blog Tour. All the best of luck tomorrow for FLAWED'S release day!!

 J. L. SPELBRING: It was great fun!! Thanks so much!

J. L. Spelbring lives in Texas, where she wanders out in the middle of the night to look at the big and bright stars. Besides knocking imaginary bad guys in the head with a keyboard, she enjoys being swept away between the pages of a book, running amuck inside in her own head, pretending she is into running, and hanging out with her kids, who are way too cool for her.

Her novel, Perfection, released in July, 2013 and the sequel Flawed releases August, 2014.
