Sixteen-year-old Holly wants to remember her Grandpa forever, but she’d rather forget what he left her in his will: his wedding chapel on the Las Vegas strip. Whatever happened to gold watches, savings bonds, or some normal inheritance?

And then there's Grandpa's letter. Not only is she running the business with her recently divorced parents, but she needs to make some serious money--fast. Grandpa also insists Holly reach out to Dax, the grandson of her family's mortal enemy and owner of the cheesy chapel next door. No matter how cute Dax is, Holly needs to stay focused: on her group of guy friends, her disjointed family, work, school and... Dax. No wait, not Dax.

Holly’s chapel represents everything she’s ever loved in her past. Dax might be everything she could ever love in the future. But as for right now, there's a wedding chapel to save.

writing/publishing your book?

 Answer:

Release day. Which is, oh, today. Every release day I

Question:

What was your most enjoyable moment in writing/publishing your book? ·

Answer:

What I enjoyed most was thinking about the world from my main character Sky’s point of view. In the book Sky has grown up on a deserted island, so she knows about survival: fishing and hunting and starting fires, but she has no sense of the modern world. When she’s rescued in the beginning of the book and taken to California to live with a grandmother she has never met, she’s seeing everything in our modern world for the first time: cell phones, cars, light switches, even toilets. I enjoyed thinking about and describing what our world would look like through her eyes and thinking about how scary and foreign modern technology (and even the concept of Google!) would appear to someone like Sky.

Jillian CantorI write novels for teens and adults. MARGOT, a re-imagining of Anne Frank's sister in post-war America, was published by Riverhead Books on 9/3/13. My next YA novel, SEARCHING FOR SKY, will be out from Bloomsbury US on 5/13/14 & Bloomsbury UK on 7/3/2014.

Pippa has always wanted to go to Italy … but not by herself. And certainly not to sit in art school the entire summer learning about dead guys’ paintings. When she steps off the plane in Rome, she realizes that traveling solo gives her the freedom to do whatever she wants. So it’s arrivederci, boring art program and ciao, hot Italian guys!

Charming, daring, and romantic, Bruno is just the Italian Pippa’s looking for—except she keeps running into cute American archeology student Darren everywhere she goes. Pippa may be determined to fall in love with an Italian guy … but the electricity she feels with Darren says her heart might have other plans. Can Pippa figure out her feelings before her parents discover she left the program and—even worse—she loses her chance at love?

Question:

What was your most enjoyable moment in writing/publishing your book?

Answer:

I think my most vivid memory was when I finished the first draft at 2:30am. I was home alone so I was able to whoop and only wake the dogs (they were annoyed and confused). No one but my Twitter friends in Australia were awake and online, so they threw me virtual cupcakes. The next day I bought the most fabulous cupcake I could find and ate it for lunch with a big glass of milk.

Mackenzie and Landon were the perfect couple . . . until he dumped her and broke her heart. Fast-forward a year and they're back where they first met—Serenity Ranch and Spa, where they are once again working together for the summer. Talk about awkward.

Then, Landon takes a nasty fall and gets amnesia. Suddenly, he’s stuck in the past—literally. His most recent memory is of last summer, when he and Mack were still together, so now he’s calling her pet names and hanging all over her. It's the perfect chance for revenge. The plan is simple: keep Landon at arm’s length, manipulate him so he’s the one falling love, and then BAM, dump him. There’s just one problem: Mack can’t fall for Landon all over again.

The If Only romance line is all about wanting what you can't have, and Mandy Hubbard's hilarious break-up/love story is sure to captivate anyone who has ever wished for a second shot at love.

 Question:

What was your most enjoyable moment in writing/publishing your book?

Answer:

I think developing the setting was a ton of fun. FOOL ME TWICE is set at a Dude Ranch which is part of a big resort with a spa and a golf course. I looked at a bunch of websites for places like this and might have dreamt of my own cattle-driving-vacation! I’ve always, always wanted to go on a cattle drive, because I grew up on a dairy, riding horses almost every day, and if I got home and got on my horse in time, my dad would let me round up the cows for the afternoon milking, rather than doing it himself on the four-wheeler. So the summer job Mack and Landon have was basically my dream job as a teen.

Mandy HubbardMandy Hubbard is the author of PRADA & PREJUDICE and YOU WISH, both novels for teens now in stores. In 2011, her releases include BUT I LOVE HIM (written as Amanda Grace) and RIPPLE. She is also a literary agent for D4EO Literary Agency. For more information, visit her website

Fortunately, Lilah’s 24-city tour is about to kick off, offering a perfect opportunity for a girls-only summer of break-up ballads and healing hearts. But when Matt Finch joins the tour as its opening act, his boy-next-door charm proves difficult for Reagan to resist, despite her vow to live a drama-free existence. This summer, Reagan and Lilah will navigate the ups and downs of fame and friendship as they come to see that giving your heart to the right person is always a risk worth taking. A fresh new voice in contemporary romance, Emery Lord’s gorgeous writing hits all the right notes.

Question:

What was your most enjoyable moment in writing/publishing your book?

Answer:

Writing the book itself helped me fall back in love with the world after a really dark, difficult time in my life. So, in a way, writing itself was the most enjoyable part! There have been a lot of small moments too…telling your parents you have an offer, the first time a reader emails you or sends you fan art, getting to a hug a writer friend in person and feeling like you’ve known her your entire life, riding the elevator up to your publishing house’s office for the first time. Just little things that add up to knowing you’ve found a wonderful niche in the world. It’s pretty magical.

Emery Lordi am a whirling dervish of lipstick smudges on coffee mugs, of bright nail polish and dresses with twirly skirts. i prefer big, messy hair and thick, black eyeliner and tortoise-framed glasses meant for a man.

i am good at conversations with subtex and at listening to songs that have harmonica solos and at not wearing practical shoes, or any shoes. i stay up too late for a girl who likes to wake up early, i have a dog sidekick named winston churchill, and i write books.

you can read one such book, called OPEN ROAD SUMMER, on April 15th, 2014 via walker books for young readers.
