Teaser Tuesday #46: Dead Girl Walking By Ruth Silver

Teaser Tuesday
is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading, where you share one to two teasers from your current book. Sound like something your interested in?
Then do the following:
  • Grab your current read. Open to a random page
Share 2 "Teaser" Sentences from somewhere on that page.
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!
  • Share the author & Title too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your Teaser!

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend?

Mine was great! Check out this weeks TT and let me know what you think in the comment section. Be sure to link me up to your TT or weekly memo so I can come visit you!

Here's My #46th Teaser Tuesday From DEAD GIRL WALKING!

Dead Girl Walking (Royal Reaper #1)

In 1346, Princess Ophelia Dacre sneaks out of the castle to visit her boyfriend in secret. A perfect night cut short when she’s brutally murdered.

Ophelia is given the rare chance to become a grim reaper. She must become Leila Bele, cut ties with her old life, and follow the rules of the reapers. Her greatest adventure begins with death.

Both Teasers are taken out of an eARC. Some quotes might change in the final copy!

Chapter 1: Page 11
"A grim reaper," he said and held out his hand to properly introduce himself. "Eden Montgomery, head reaper and old soul."

"You're joking." Ophelia was not laughing.

"The oldest soul in our region. Anyways, you can choose to be one of us, reap souls for the next two-hundred, three-hundred years and see all you would of missed, or you can miss it and move on."

Chapter 9: Page: 110
 "Sounds complicated." Leila sighed.

"Not really," Wynter contuined to read the book. "A dark angel may consult the oracle for guidance or a head reaper for a death list. Under no circumstance will a dark Angel take orders from a grim reaper. A dark angel may not give orders to a grim reaper either. It is the dark angels responsibility to intervene if necessary. Reapers do not cause death, they are merely messengers that carry out assignments. Their responsibility is to spare souls from pain and suffering in death.

Ruth SilverRuth Silver first began writing poetry as a teenager and reading heaps of fan fiction in her free time. She has written under three unique pseudo names and penned well over a hundred stories.

She attended Northern Illinois University in 2001 and graduated with a Bachelor's in Communication. While in college she spent much of her free time writing with friends she met online and penning her first novel, "Deuces are Wild", which she self-published in 2004. Her favorite class was Creative Writing senior year where she often handed in assignments longer than the professor required because she loved to write and always wanted to finish her stories.

Her love of writing, led her on an adventure in 2007 to Melbourne, Australia. Silver enjoys reading YA novels and sharing her favorite books with other readers. She runs her own book blog and also enjoys photography and traveling.

Her favorite YA genre is a mix of Dystopian & Fantasy which is evident in the upcoming release of her latest book, Aberrant. Slated for release April 2013 by Lazy Day Publishing, it is the first in a trilogy.
