 This weeks Question:

Q: What blogger would you most like to meet in real life? Tell us about him or her.

Umm...That's a tough one, because their are so many awesome bloggers out there that I would love to meet. But if I had to choose just one blogger I could meet, it would be Stephanie from A Dream With a Dream. I love her blog!

I just started blogging about 4 months ago, and I knew nothing of the blogging world. When I started getting into visiting blogs, Stephanie's blog was one of the first blogs I came across, and I loved it! I thought her blog was so cute and after checking out many other blogs I realized it had it's own originality to it and that just made me like it even more!

She has this Halloween feel to her blog, that insistently drew me in. It's got a witch at the top of her blog ( At least It Looks Like A Witch ) with bone clip pigtails, with knee-high stripped stocking, with a cute little purple dress, with a black cat and a broom by her side. Look at the picture below!

A Dream Within A Dream

I mean, how adorable is this background on her blog! I don't know maybe's it's because Halloween is my favorite holiday, and Stephanie's blog gives me the Halloween feel. But it's so cute and it's one of my favorite blog themes that I've came across!

She also has amazing book reviews, and blog tours with great giveaways, that's always a plus! :) Oh, and she is one of the sweetest people I've meet ( Well Not Actually Met, But Talked Through Email ). I won a giveaway on her blog and we talked via email, and she was so nice.

I mean if you put all these things together and you have an awesome blog with an awesome blogger! Thank You Stephanie, you inspired me to want to start my own blog and get more involved with other bloggers! :)

My Answer To this Weeks Feature and Follow.

Please follow my Blog anyway you want and leave a comment with a link to your blog and I will follow you back and leave you a comment too! :)

Salvation (The Captive, #4)

Title: Salvation
Series: The Captive #4
Author:
Genre:  YA, Dystopia, Vampires
Published:
June 8th 2013

4th and last book in the Captive Series.

Imprisoned by Caleb and at the mercy of the king, Aria is determined not to let them break her. However, the more atrocities she witnesses, the more she realizes there are some horrors no one can withstand, and sometimes survival isn’t always the best option.
Tormented by the loss of Aria, Braith is forced to choose between his need to rescue her, and the impending rebel war he’s been chosen to lead. Fighting against the darkness which threatens to drag him into its tempting depths, Braith struggles not to become like the one thing he hates the most, his father.
Faced with their own separate challenges, Aria and Braith must come to terms with who they are, what they want, and the likelihood that they can never be together as the inevitable war looms on the horizon. A war that all of them will fight but not all of them will survive.

I was SO lucky to be able to get an ARC of this, and when I received it I automatically stopped my other read to start this one, and I was NOT Disappointed one bit! Only bad part was that this is the end, their will be no more Braith and Aria! I really would of liked maybe one more book to show how everything played out! Even though Erica did a wonderful job at bring this series to a close, I still would of liked to see the future of their world. YEAH ERICA, IT'S STILL NOT TO LATE TO CHANGE YOUR MIND...LOL! :) But I think the way Erica ended this series was PERFECT! It ended just the way I would of hoped, and I couldn't of asked for a better ending, to a PERFECT series!
*Sniffle Sniffle*

As always with Erica's books, the writing was amazing, BEYOND AMAZING, unlike anything I have ever read! She uses the best choice of words that fit perfectly with every scene, and I was swept away in this book! I cried more then I've EVER cried with this book! Maybe it was the intensity of the book, or maybe it was the undying love they had for each other, or the will to fight for their love and their people, or it could be that my time with this series was so fulfill and meaningful, and I knew it was coming to an end, and this was going to be the last book. But whatever it was, I was really an emotion wreck! You would think this was my life going on as much as I cried, laughed, moan, screamed, and hit things! But I was on an emotional roller coaster, (Still Am) But I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

I just can't put in words how AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT this book, NO this series is! It's more then just a vampire book. More then just the battle of right and wrong, more then humans being tortured and violated, more the a thousand year old war brewing. No, it was something beyond that! This book shows people, that all is not as it seems, and just because the world is one way does not mean it can not be changed, and their can be forgiveness!

In this book, I found that LOVE WILL CONQUER ALL! All you have to do is want it! And want it they did!

Okay, okay, here's the Plot:

After finishing the 3rd book in the series, and being left on that astonishing cliffhanger, I was holding my breath until I got back into this world. This book picks up where book three left off. With Aria being captured by the Kings soldiers and Braith ready to destroy everything in his path to get too Aria!

Aria is all but shattered as she is taken to the Kings dungeon to await her fate from the King! She knows that whatever the King and Braith's sadistic brother Caleb  has in store for her is going to be beyond any pain and torture she has ever endured! But she is determined to get through this, determined not to let them break her as they intended! But how can she remain optimistic when her days in captivity is filled with pain and torture, not only for self, but for her love ones and what they must be going through without her. Aria is getting weaker by the minute, and she's certain Braith will come for her, but when....?

Braith is furious! He is beyond reason! He is determined to get Aria back and kill her Captures! He is ready to storm the castle and battle anyone in his way to Aria. But something inside Braith clicks, something he has never felt when it comes to Aria. He realizes that it's not just him and her anymore, though he would be glad to storm the castle and kill anyone in his path. But he knows he would ruin everything they were fighting for, everything Aria, and even he wants. A new way of life! A new beginning not only for them, but for his people he agreed to lead into war. For his followers that look to him as a leader. He can't let them down. He knows this is what Aria would want. So a new Braith is born the day she is captured. He will get her back he says, but first with thought and planning, and most defentely with the help from others! They will go into battle prepared to win and not fail, no matter the cost!

Okay, I really don't want to give too much away, because you all would just hate me, and trust me when I say this, This is ONE book you want to experience for yourself with NO spoilers!

Their was VERY intense fighting scenes, that ROCKED me to my very CORE! Erica is the best at her writing when she is writing very emotional scenes and battle scenes. All the fighting and battling for dominance was so engaging that I could not get it read fast enough! The way Erica did it, we got to see all the fights going on at once. Well not at once, but Erica would do a scenes from either Aria, Braith or Jack's point of view while they were battling at war. So we get to see the full wrath of this battle through different peoples eyes! I LOVED it! The war was probably my favorite part. Well not my favorite because their was soooooo much that I loved about this book and pretty much every scenes was my favorite...lol!

I know my review is long and drawn out, but I'm just trying to give everyone a good picture of this book and what I felt while I was reading it. Not so much of the plot because that's something you should of experience yourself (especially this being the last in the series) but more of the world and the feelings to it.

I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this book, BUT if you haven't read the rest of the series yet then I suggest you read them first, So your able to get the full experience of this book! I can not stress how much I am saddened that their won't be another book in this series! :( BUT if it has to come to an end, then I'm happy with the way Erica ended it. I couldn't be anymore happier then I am with this book! Erica you have an AMAZING talent at writing, and you can draw readers in with only a couple sentences, that's all it took for me when I started reading the first book in this series! I will be reading more of Erica's books because I know anything she writes will be AMAZING! Thank you Erica for the AMAZING world in The Captive series, and for wonderful hours I found myself lost in your books, as they became an out when I need a break from reality. I will be sad to see it end, but hey you have so many other good books out their that I've yet to pick up, and I'm sure MANY MORE to come!

5 Stars,
 But Worth SO MUCH MORE

When Rachel's father fails to return from a courier mission and is declared dead, the city's brutal Commander assigns Rachel a new Protector: her father's apprentice, Logan--the boy she declared her love to and who turned her down two years before. Left with nothing but fierce belief in her father's survival, Rachel decides to escape and find him herself.

This book has been on my wishlist for a long time, and I finally won it in a giveaway, So I'm torn whether I should start it now, or later???

Monument 14 (Monument 14 #1)

Your mother hollers that you’re going to miss the bus. She can see it coming down the street. You don’t stop and hug her and tell her you love her. You don’t thank her for being a good, kind, patient mother. Of course not—you launch yourself down the stairs and make a run for the corner.Only, if it’s the last time you’ll ever see your mother, you sort of start to wish you’d stopped and did those things. Maybe even missed the bus.But the bus was barreling down our street, so I ran.Fourteen kids. One superstore. A million things that go wrong.

In Emmy Laybourne’s action-packed debut novel, six high school kids (some popular, some not), two eighth graders (one a tech genius), and six little kids trapped together in a chain superstore build a refuge for themselves inside. While outside, a series of escalating disasters, beginning with a monster hailstorm and ending with a chemical weapons spill, seems to be tearing the world—as they know it—apart.

Horrifying visions of a past life and a disturbing voice in her head have psychiatric professionals convinced that she’s lost her sanity as well. About Inger Iverson

Inger Iversen

Inger Iversen was born in 1982 to Anne and Kaii Iversen. She lives in Virginia Beach with her overweight lap cat, Max and her tree hugging boyfriend Joshua. She spends 90 percent of her time in Barnes and Noble and the other ten pretending not to want to be in Barnes and Noble.

~ Excerpt ~

“I want to untie you, but I don’t want to regret doing so. Can we agree that everyone will behave?” I looked at Kale, but all I received was a shrug and another grumble.
Jace’s blue eyes were glued to Kale. “Ella, when I am untied, I will do whatever I can to take you back to the Council. I won’t have this creature infect you.”
Kale straightened up and moved closer to us. “Over my dead body.”
Jace’s slow, chilling smile revealed his white teeth. Though it was beautiful, it freaked me out.
“Then it should be easy, Nosferat, seeing as how your heart no longer beats.” Jace looked at Kale as if he would attack the first chance he got.
At this rate, I would never be able to get Kale and Jace to work together. Maybe Kale was right. We might be better off fending for ourselves against Laurent.
“You mistake the fact you are still alive for weakness on my part, but I warn you that as soon she sees you are not a necessary factor for her survival, I will finish what we started years ago, Vesco,” Kale spat, with such malice that halfway through his words I turned around to face him, not at all liking what I saw. His face was now plagued by hard lines, and his eyes, though they were always dark, were darkened with loathing. I hardly recognized him. I didn’t want to believe Kale would truly kill Jace or anyone for that matter.
“Stop, Kale, you wouldn’t,” I whispered. I searched his face for the Kale I knew. I understood the Council and vampires were enemies, but I couldn’t see Kale killing Jace. It was probably my naivety that pushed the idea that Kale was harmless.
“Yes, he would, Ella,” Jace said, pulling my attention back to his blue eyes. “It’s what he is—a murderer fashioned only to steal what humans cannot live without and to spread his disease. He was created by the Dark Prince. No matter how long he tries to deny his nature by drinking from rats and squirrels, he will always be a threat to you and all others. Even more so because he can walk in the light.

 Icon's Review

First I have to say, Icons was NOT what I was expecting, AT ALL!
It wasn't the worse book I've ever read, but it's was by far not the best or even close either! Icons was a HIGHLY Anticipated book for me, and when I was Lucky enough to win a copy on Winter Haven Books, I was SO excited & couldn't wait to start it. Unfortunately Icons was NOTHING like I thought, and even worse then I could of imagined!

Okay, where do I start? The writing was not that bad, really I didn't think it was bad at all, but the plot is what fell real short! There was really no action, and the action that was there was so boring, I could barely even finish the book! But I stuck with it in hopes it would get better, It didn't, not for me anyway! It was too confusing with everything going on, all the secrets that were being hidden, not knowing what the Icons powers were and how they were all related and came too be, and the aliens or should I say The Lords as they call them, did not even make an appearance in this book, OR not one that I can remember!

This book could of been AMAZING if it was more thought out with more/better action, and better schemes on the Lords/ambassadors part. And if everything was explain better and maybe even a little earlier then it was. Even after I finished this book I still did NOT have all my questions answered and still confused on a lot of parts ( I don't want to say what I was still confused on b/c it would spoil the book ). I mean their was so many reasons why this book did NOT work out for me!

I was expecting an action-packed thriller that would leave me on the edge of my seat! Instead I got a bunch of boring bratty kids fighting with each other and turning on each other at every chance they got! Which was SO annoying!! They were ALL  so jealous of each other throughout almost the whole book that I wasn't even able to get to know who some of the characters were because they were always hating on each other!

The romance, if that's what you call it was TERRIBLE! And I really hate to say bad things about books but I have to call it like I see it! I know their was suppose to be romance, but really their wasn't that much and when their was it seemed forced and wrong, like it didn't feel right and really was a big turn off!

I was so disappointed in this book, I wanted to love it, but I just couldn't! Their was just too many things wrong with this book, that I couldn't overlook!

2.5 - 3 Stars

I write fiction for teens and adults and teach writing and literature at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I live with my husband, three kids, two dogs, and two rats (Katniss and Prim, of course). I'm also an avid reader and book reviewer. I've always said I never want to give up reading for writing or vice versa. I want to do both. My favorite authors are Tracy Chevalier, Ann Patchett, Suzanne Collins, Veronica Roth, Rick Riordan, and Stephanie Meyer. I have too many to name, but those are a handful of them. When I'm not spending time with the family, working, reading, or writing, I can be found watching The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Middle, and NCIS.

I love to interact with readers and have recently added features to my website at http://www.evapohler.com with this in mind. Review:

What a GREAT end to a WONDERFUL Trilogy! I LOVE this series and this book just sealed it! The ending was perfect, with pretty much all my questions answered! It ended just the way I would of hoped! The writing was wonderful, maybe even better then the first 2 books. I was swept away with the style Eva used in this book, it was just great! The plot was all I wanted and more, I really thought this was a great ending to the series!

It finally happened! Therese is a GOD! She can finally live her life with Than, well, it's NEVER that easy, Right? No, of course not! Therese finds out that she will not be able to remain a God unless she finds her "Purpose" Well of course that can't be easy! Then to top that off, The Gods want them to be punished for their crimes! Oh, this is just getting better!

This book is filled with action and adventure, romance, and a girl who is trying to find her way! Brilliant Trilogy, and I'm so sad to see it end! But you know what they say, ALL good things must come to an end!
