Whispers, rumors, and horror stories abound about The Barrens and the strange creatures that lurk within them. Determined to find the remaining vampires that stood against his father in the war, Braith knows that it’s dangerous to enter the inhospitable land, but that they must if they are to have a chance at gaining allies to help overthrow the king. Though he once knew the powerful vampires that are rumored to reside within The Barrens, he is unsure what to expect if they succeed in finding them. He will do whatever is necessary though to ensure a future for himself and Aria.

Aria is fearful of entering into the land she’s heard nothing but cautionary tales about, but she’s determined to help Braith locate the vampires that may help them with their cause. She is fascinated and amazed by the world they uncover within, one that is unlike anything she has ever seen before. However, the more immersed they become in a world that she doesn’t entirely understand, the more she realizes that it won’t be the war, or even the king that will eventually tear her and Braith apart.

It will be her.

Look at Braith, such a HOTTIE!
I could sink my teeth into him!

Photo: This is close to what I had in mind for Braith

I know I said Jensen for Braith but I think he's a better Jack. Photo: Ashby.
It was the green eyes that grabbed me most!

Not really felling Aria, but she's okay! Definitely not what I picture!

Wow! Where do I Start! This Book was AMAZING!

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time wishing it would NEVER end, That's how GREAT it was. The Connection that Braith and Arianna had was breathless I was in Awe every time they were with-in reach of each other. They had a Love, No it wasn't even Love it was something MUCH Stronger then Love for each other that was beyond Comprehension, A Connection that I have Never read in any other book. And it was so Amazing to see two people that were from two Completely different worlds and had So many odds Stacked against them that they were able to get through So Much. I mean it was beautiful BUT that was not the whole focus in the book, Which was great to have a couple different things going on at the same time. It really held my attention and had me longing for MORE!

Basically the book picks back up where it left off in the 2nd Book "Renegade". We are pulled back into the Arianna and Braith's world where Vampire's Rule and Humans are Slaves (Well Most Humans). But times are changing and people want more, People want freedom, People want to be Equal. So groups of humans and Vampire's alike set off to sought Change and unite Humans and Vampire's as One, but there's a Problem the King would Never Approve. So that's when they set on an endless action packed Adventure to Find Allies in Humans and Vampire's and build an Army to stand and fight with them against the King and his people. There plan is to overthrow the King and Braith being the next in line and the Leader in the Rebellion is to step forward an claim what is rightfully his. But Arianna has come to question her place in all of this and wonders if she'll ever be Accepted as their Queen!

It's just really Amazing the world that Erica has created. She's a wonderful writer and it really shows in this Book! I give this Book a Big Fat 5 Stars and would give it more if I could. But I do recommend that if you haven't read book 1 and 2 read that first so you get the full experience of the Series. I don't think Anyone could be disappointed, Well Maybe Because They Don't Have The Fourth Book Yet (LOL), But Hold On Tight Because Erica Is Hoping To Have It Released By June.

Happy Reading!
